Backstory
Brix was born in rural Denmark and grew up in a small town by the fjords. It enjoyed a carefree life in its childhood and often roamed the countryside around their town. It was when they were five that they encountered the household Lego gremlin. They weren't paying attention and stepped on it. The Lego gremlin, being absolutely done with people stepping on it at this point, cursed Brix. It was at this point that Brix began to be able to take their body apart. For how horrific that sounds, it actually was rather fun for a small child. They just had to make sure their fingers went back on at the right spots. While it took their parents a little while to get used to it, they eventually stopped freaking out when Brix would just take their leg off and start trying to fight someone with it. The only downside was the foot that Brix stepped on the Lego with developed a lot of pain and was never truly comfortable for them.
When it was about ten, it went into the woods to play as normal. But rather than the normal birds and wildlife of the woods near their home, they came across a nøkk. They didn’t even notice the nøkk’s song, they were simply intrigued by the pretty rocks on the pebble island in the center of the creek. But when they stepped in, the nøkk grabbed their foot. Brix panicked and released their leg, much to the nøkk’s confusion. They quickly hopped away, leaving the nøkk with their leg and their shoe (which they honestly miss more than the leg). When it got home, it had to explain to its parents what happened to the leg. Its parents actually found the whole thing amusing and tried to go back to the creek where the nøkk had been to barter for their child’s leg back, but the nøkk was gone, taking the leg with it. Rather than panic and freak out, they just worked with Brix and discerned that the best course of action was a prosthetic, but they primarily used crutches when they were young because it was difficult for the leg to be sized properly due to their growing body. But once it got older, it began to use the leg more as it became more comfortable. Brix was actually quite alright with losing the leg itself because that was the leg that they had stepped on the Lego gremlin with, now they didn't have to experience the eternal pain of stepping on a Lego every second of their life.
Brix wasn’t born with alopecia. Well, they were born with the autoimmune deficiency that causes it but it only started to affect them when they were about thirteen (i.e. the worst age). Due to the fact that it was used to the detachable nature of their limbs, dealing with losing all of their hair impacted them much less than it normally would for someone of their age. They adapted well to wearing wigs and drawing on eyebrows. The only part that they found peeving was that the type of alopecia it has is the type that makes your body have absolutely no hair, which means no eyelashes, which means dirt right in the eye. But the bright side is that they can now match their hair to their outfit without having to splurge on hair salon trips. There’s also significantly less damage when they want to change their hair at 1 a.m. Another plus was that when it was learning to draw on their eyebrows, they started to experiment with make-up. Now, they enjoy experimenting with flashy make-up to go with their outfit, especially pride make-up.But where did Lego come from? Well, before Brix stepped on the gremlin Lego and was cursed, it found a different orphaned little Lego under its house. Everyone always says that you shouldn't take in abandoned baby creatures because their parent might be looking for it but Brix just couldn't leave Lego there. The weather was bad and they were all alone. So Brix took it home and fed it cookies. Unbeknownst to them, feeding a Lego makes it imprint on you. So now, Brix considers Lego its child and will fight anyone that says otherwise.
Honestly, not even Brix is sure how they ended up at camp. They sent Lego out to go explore the world and make new friends. Then one day, they get a letter from Lego. It’s an invitation to come to this cool campground in the woods for the summer. That nobody else was there yet but it would be awesome and totally slay. So Brix packed up a backpack and, having nothing better to do for an entire summer, made their way to camp sometime in early May. Well, the woods near camp. It couldn’t quite find Lego for a couple of weeks and was just chilling in a cave eating fish and terrifying campers like some sort of local cryptid. The campers told Lego that this monster in the woods tried to eat them. So, Lego went out looking, ready to square up. To their surprise, it was Brix, covered in leaves, sticks, and mud. Lego dragged it back and made it take a shower. Not long after Brix was taken to camp proper and made to take a shower and change its clothes, a wild Nat walked out of a portal right in front of them. At this point, it's used to weird things just happening and doesn't even question the portal. Nat is the first person they had a chance to talk to after being deemed as 'not a feral racoon.' It was pretty easy for them to become besties after that. Two weird people bump into each other? Now they have a weird coalition of carrots.
Personality and lifestyle
TraitsBrix is overall a very creative and chaotic individual. At their core, they are a maker. They tinker and see what works. It's their motto that "trial and error includes error" and they don't get mad when things don't work like they want them to. They are overall very chill and go with the flow. Even when they got lost in the woods for a couple of weeks, they didn't let it get to them. They went on with life and did what they had to do, even if that included accidentally scaring the crap out of random campers. The only problem is that they're a little dense. They miss information if it's not directly presented to them. But it does perfectly fine if they learn information from a book. They are also very blunt and straight to the point. But key to its character, they are a silly individual and just want to have fun.RelationshipsWhile they do not experience romantic or sexual attraction, they still form deep platonic connections with individuals, though it may take some time to do so. Generally, they get along well with people. But they work their hardest to not be a people pleaser.
It is very close friends with Nat as they met on Brix's first technical day in camp and both went "you're weird, I like that." Now they're besties and bond over carrots.
Friendship with Corey tbd but exists.HobbiesThey love reading and writing. Even though their career and life focus is the creation of new things, they still enjoy literature and find great pride in the fact that many people compare their ability to remove their limbs to Frankenstein's monster. Classical literature is its bread and butter so any connection to the masterpiece of Mary Shelly makes them happy.
They are very interested in making things. They're an inventor and creator. They spend a lot of their time making new things and experimenting. They also enjoy creating blueprints for theoretical buildings and planning their future home.FearsBut, just like everyone on Earth, they have fears. They're deathly afraid of heights because they're paranoid that their prosthetic will fall off and they'll have to hop down to go get it. Going with that, they're also afraid of permanently losing any more of their fleshy limbs. They don't get worried when a finger goes missing for a couple days but start to get anxious if they haven't seen it in weeks. It's also afraid of being excluded. As a kid, even though they were completely fine with the fact that they could remove their limbs, not everyone was so cool with it. They got excluded a lot when they were young and retreated into nature. They're afraid of that happening again.LikesBrix likes a wide variety of things. They greatly enjoy the outdoors and engineering. They have a particular interest in eco-friendly construction and like doing research into sustainable practices. While they are not a vegetarian, they do enjoy a lot of vegetable based dishes. They love kandi and enjoy making and trading them.DislikesThey are a very chill individual so it takes a lot for them to dislike something. But the few things that they do dislike are very much things that it hates. They dislike when people raise their voices, gossip, two-faced people, and people not trying to be eco-friendly. They know that it's very difficult in this day and age, but just dislike when people don't try and blatantly litter or impulse buy everything they see.On a happier note, Brix wanted to show you some pages from their journal for some story ideas and writing that they've been doing!

Awesome Creations

What does Brix look like?
Brix has alopecia universalis, meaning it no longer has hair anywhere on its body. So they wear wigs and have a vast collection of many different styles and colors so they can match them to their outfit and leg. It was born with light blond hair but genuinely does not miss being blond, it prefers having the freedom to have whatever hair it wants every day. This also means that it draws on its eyebrows every morning. It did once consider getting them tattooed on but decided against it because they like being able to do crazy eyebrows whenever they want to.Brix's skin is white. They look like a lobster when they burn so avoid spending too much time in the sun. It also has bright green eyes and likes to wear pride themed make-up, especially when it dresses up for any type of event.Brix has the capability to remove any of their limbs at any point, similar to Frankenstein's monster in many forms of media. Luckily for everyone around them and for their clothing, it is a very clean removal and the skin seals it shut immediately. The clothing that they are wearing also splits and goes with the limb. And as a result of a very silly incident with a river faery, they no longer have their right leg. Usually, it wears a prosthetic leg with a cover over the lower part that matches their outfit, if it's showing. But sometimes, especially when they are experiencing pain or discomfort from the missing leg, they will instead chose to use crutches to get around.> Want to see how they look? There's some awesome art of them from the Lego Cabin in the "Creations!" page and there's a good deal of art of them in their lore page! <
Woah! A secret page!

Shenanagins
-> They like to do the “got your nose” joke but they actually pop their finger off to do it-> When they take their limbs off, it is a very clean removal. There is no blood or flesh showing, just skin.-> They call them “otter pops” and insists that all other possible names for those things are “inherently incorrect.” No one else in its life calls them “otter pops” and nobody knows where they got it from.-> Their birthday is June 7th-> It loves to speak in "Danish" but its not really Danish, it's just them yapping nonsense because nobody can call them out on their bullshit. They can actually speak Danish due to growing up there but just likes to do it to mess with people.-> Is the type of shy where they just stare like they have the wii theme in their head.-> They are probably on the spectrum but never bothered to get tested. The obsession with building things and the outdoors is a dead give-away to everyone except them.-> Brix once befriended a herd of wild boar behind his parent's house and never told them.-> They are currently attending university for a degree in Architecture and want to pursue construction logistics and design.-> Is seemingly the only person they know to have actually seen and interacted with creatures in Scandinavian folklore.-> They spend a lot of their time tinkering with their creations and generally having fun with it. They see people who don't have fun with their careers and lives as being lost and just needing to find themselves.-> Brix created Lego when they were about 4. At first, their parents didn't believe that they had a talking Lego companion. It was only when Brix brought Lego to school that their parents noticed and solemnly agreed that their child was going to be a strange one and that they would just have to be on board with that. But what Brix doesn't know is that Lego isn't mechanical but magical, having been brought to life by their love and desire for a companion.
